Title makeover unplugs the Cape

B2 Publishers has relaunched Cape i as Cape Unplugged, a compact monthly glossy travel magazine targeting the Western Cape. "It's got a different look and feel, but it's still the same cheeky magazine," says Carey Finn, editor of the magazine.

Distributed at Cape Town International Airport, certain intersections in the Mother City and most tourism information centres, the free B6-sized magazine is handed to travellers as they arrive in Cape Town, distributed in both domestic and international arrivals halls. The same size as Glamour, it's small enough to be dropped into a carry bag.

While Cape Unplugged covers a fair amount of standard tourist fare, such as game drives, whale watching and major shopping malls, it also features less well-known aspects of the Cape, such as baboon walks, butterfly parks and street art.

"It's an insider's guide to the Cape," explains Finn. "We've kept it quirky and tried to highlight spots which are somewhat off the beaten track."

B2 Publishers also publish Cellucity's in-store magazine The Magg, Bespoke and several other titles. Go to www.b2publishers.com for more information.
