Call for nominations for 2015 IWMF Courage in Journalism Awards

The awards, run by the International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF), honour those facing and surviving danger to uncover the truth, embodying a commitment to their societies and to press freedom. The Lifetime Achievement Awards recognise the audacity of media industry pioneers who kick down barriers to equality and justice.

"Courage Awardees persevere and report from countries where threats, intimidation, political repression, and imprisonment are stark realities for journalists engaged in reporting the truth," said IWMF Executive Director, Elisa Lees Muñoz. "It has been an honour to see that the accomplishments of award winners from the last 25 years continue to inspire the next generation of reporters to find their voice and make a difference."

Nominees must be full-time women journalists working in print, broadcast or online media in any country. To review nomination requirements and criteria and to submit a nomination, go to www.iwmf.org/nomination.
