Econet Wireless Zimbabwe will be launching Africa's first Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, also known as 4G, by Zimbabwe and Zambia jointly hosting the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) general assembly, reports BizTech Africa.
BizTech Africa: Econet launches LTE... According to the report on BizTech Africa, the launch will be held from 24-29 August 2013 in the resort town of Victoria Falls. This new technology will most probably open many new doors as it "allows the fastest mobile internet speeds possible", and is reportedly "still not available in most European and Asian countries".
