Johnnic Communications has suspended the editor of Elle magazine, Cynthia Vongai, pending a disciplinary inquiry, over allegations that one of her weekly columns written for The Sowetan was plagiarised off the internet. An article appearing last Friday in City Press claimed that Vongai's column was a word-for-word copy of an article appearing on the website www.askmen.com, except for the title and the substitution of 'Johannesburg' for 'Hollywood'.
