Creative Living Magazines, a division of Media 24, is growing its business and editorial teams to allow for a stronger presence in the creative industries in South Africa. The publisher of Tuis and Home, Idees and Ideas has promoted Marweya Vallie to assistant publisher on all the titles.
Marweya has a wealth of experience in the industry, having started at Media 24 in the late 90s as an assistant to the picture editor. She worked her way up in the company over the last nine years and will now work alongside publisher Terena le Roux in growing the Creative Living business unit.
Jaco-Louis Groenewald has been appointed as online and communications manager, responsible for driving the development of the various Creative Living websites, as well as managing the communications of the division. Jaco-Louis started his career at technology PR consultancy, Text 100, in 1998 and worked as PR manager for Associated Magazines before joining Media 24.
Rhoda Davids has been appointed as assistant editor on Tuis and Home magazines. Previously she was the editor of Vodaworld magazine and online editor at Tiscali SA, responsible for the fashion, health, beauty and lifestyle sections.
· Melany Kühn joined Tuis and Homes magazines as editorial marketing manager.
· Lee-Anne Coosner joined Idees and Ideas magazines as editorial marketing manager.
· Lizna Snyman joined Idees and Ideas magazines as fashion and beauty editor.
· Nazmeera Khalfe has been promoted to events manager, Creative Living Magazines.
