AIRCO is proud to announce the appointment of Kgomotso More as administrative officer

The Association of Independent Record Companies, (AIRCO) is proud to announce the appointment of music industry veteran Kgomotso More as the administration officer of the organisation.

In keeping with its goals of organising and lobbying on behalf of the independent music sector in South Africa, More brings years of music industry and business experience to the position. He understands that there are many challenges facing independent labels, including distribution and marketing, piracy, licensing, and digital rights issues. AIRCO is dedicated to lobbying on behalf of the independent music industry, and supporting its aims in terms of promoting South African artists and fighting piracy and entrenched monopolies.

With a background as an independent record company founder and director, More understands these unique challenges from the inside out. More has served in a number of capacities within the industry and therefore has extensive insights to the way the music industry works and the best way forward for the independent sector. More was critical in the growth and expansion of Tusk Music through their chain of franchised Record Bars in the 1990's. He was also instrumental in the revamping of company policies that assisted in the turn around of loss making divisions into profitable departments. In 1998, More founded Melodi Music Company, a record company that concentrated on indigenous South African music.
