Janie Smit has been appointed Divisional deputy and project manager for Touchline Online, the web division of Touchline Media. Janie started her career in the sales department at M-web which gave her a good understanding of the industry. With a leaning more towards e-commerce, Janie did a course on the subject through Unisa. Itching to put her newfound knowledge into practice, she made an internal move at M-web to become the Legalnet Operational manager, dealing with various aspects of the business, from admin and technical queries through to website development. She enjoyed the varied interaction on all levels both internal and external, but could not resist the temptation to move upon seeing the job being offered at Touchline Online.
In her new capacity at Touchline Online Janie will work under divisional manager, Andrew Lanning, who started the division two years ago, and will be responsible for the online shop that handles the e-commerce across the Touchline Media websites. She will also coordinate the placing of the editorial being produced for the websites and liaise with Small World Digital, the company responsible for the design of the sites.
