CQ is the new EQ for executives
True! Thanks for this article Michelle. The business case for Cultural Intelligence is well researched and documented. Today Diversity is all around us. Hence our capability to successfully adapt to new situations is tested constantly. As you mentioned, leaders / companies who understand the impact of culture and the necessity to up-skill themselves and their employees have definitely a competitive advantage! Good news is that EQ and CQ are skills, anyone can learn.

There's a new SA cloud market emerging
Lots of meaningless jargon with rambling concepts being rolled without much structure - providing little or no help to a company's understanding of the advantages the author wishes to expound on - leading to less motivation to moving to the cloud I would think?

How business misrepresented evidence: the South African sugar tax story
What Govt didn't realize that soft drink manufacturers have traded sugar for more toxic chemical alternatives and may see a bigger jump in health issues longer term as a result. Was a good excuse for additional tax revenue.

SA's best baby products, as voted by BabyYumYum parents
It would be interesting to see if the respondents of this survey was representative of the South African population, across LSM, geographical and demographic dimensions. One can understand that this is a brief summary of the results but it appears limited.

Bringing EQ to the corporate sector
This is what I've been trying to do since I achieved degrees in the Humanities ...after I had a motorbike accident in my matric year (1986) that left me in a coma for 5-months. But I haven't had many speeches.
