PPC receives merger proposal from AfriSam
SA's largest cement maker PPC (PPC) on Wednesday, 10 December, received an offer from construction materials group AfriSam to merge the two companies.

"The board is considering the indicative proposal and will make a further announcement in due course once it has concluded its consideration of the indicative proposal‚" PPC said in a statement.
At 1.25pm‚ PPC's share price had jumped 4.67% on the JSE to R25.12‚ valuing the company at about R15.2bn.
