Captivating African consumers in a time of change

Captivating African consumers in a time of change

The proliferation of social, mobile and traditional on- and off-line marketing channels is one of the most dramatic shifts in the marketing environment globally. Consumers are becoming more elusive than ever; more so in Africa, where a discerning market is emerging and being empowered, particularly within a growing middle class sector.

Customer engagement may have always been the goal of direct marketers but the scope and definition of this has changed: consumers are expecting more from the brands they trust, especially as consumer experiences become more connected across the continent.

Taking place at the Indaba Hotel, Johannesburg, from 4-6 November 2015, speakers and networking delegates will be consumed with the current and next wave of marketing in Africa, and how to leverage game-changing developments in that space.

Delegates will also hear first-hand perspectives from keynote speakers: international marketing guru Professor Malcolm H B McDonald; Dr Shingi Munyeza, former CEO of African Sun Hotels; Busisa Moyo, CEO of United Refineries Ltd; and Helen McIntee, director of the IMM.

Branding, solution providers, agencies, analysts and marketing professionals will all benefit from understanding the 'new' African customer experience and how to reinvent themselves so that they can fill the gap between the status of African marketing and what it needs to become, as consumer needs shift.
