I am a Branding and Marketing Communications postgraduate from Vega School of Brand Leadership in Durban looking to gain work experience in an institution which encourages skills development and social development of persons with disabilities.
My majors in the campus include; Brand Strategy, Marketing, Media and Communications. In my qualifications I have included having completed a Diploma in Integrated Brand Communication and Advanced Diploma in Brand Innovation. Participating in a full-time traineeship program will help broaden my skills in commercial awareness, marketing communications and teamwork. I will gain an internationally recognized qualification after working with professionals that will show me how to interact with clients and understand work dynamics when it comes to using various creative measures to advance the company.
Although I have minimal work experience, I have participated in two Vega Brand Challenges where my team worked on proposals for Lorna Jane and Bobbie Bear. I then completed a three-week student internship at Ultimate Media where I was given an assignment to research and present the 'Evolution of Radio' after visiting some of the radio stations they worked with. This was a rewarding experience for me because I got a taste of working in the corporate and brand communications industry after graduating. I am currently a Qasa QuadPara member and I am assisting with fundraising initiatives by collecting bread tags around my community. I am also using my time to get involved un community development projects.
