The design academy’s Distinguished Talent Scholarships are private bursaries that cover 100% of tuition fees for chosen candidates. They are awarded by the academy, based entirely on merit, to applicants whose talent and creative potential meet the requirements set by lecturers and selection panellists.

There are four Distinguished Talent Scholarships available for 2019. Each corresponds to one of the academy’s core full-time courses, which are:

    • Graphic design and visual communication
    • Web design and motion graphics
    • Game graphics and multimedia entertainment
    • Concept art

    Who can apply?

To be eligible, applicants need to be able to prove that their creative spark has next-level potential and that they have the passion, dedication, and commitment to see their potential through.

The eligibility requirements are as follow:

    • A South African ID/passport
    • A matric certificate (or international equivalent)
    • Creative skills and a portfolio

Candidates may send their portfolios to ten.ngisedfosdneirf@ofni with 'Distinguished Talent Scholarship Application' in the subject line and request entry forms for their chosen course. The Friends of Design Academy of Digital Arts will send interested parties all the information they need. Lastly, applicants may also download the necessary course forms directly from the full-time course pages on the academy’s website.
