Panos Institute Southern Africa (PSAf) is sponsoring this fellowship for journalists wishing to produce reports that capture the voices of people living with HIV and AIDS in the southern Africa region and raise issues surrounding access to treatment, such as antiretroviral (ARV) drugs.
One print journalist and one radio journalist from each of the eligible countries will be awarded a fellowship with a total value of US$2000. Successful applicants will work under the supervision and guidance of a Panos-appointed editor to produce two in-depth investigative reports raising important HIV/AIDS issues that have not fully been covered before by the mainstream media.
Applicants are asked to supply a CV with their two latest samples of related published or broadcast work, as well as two abstracts for story ideas which will be completed during the fellowship.
