Education transformation comes to Zambia

LUSAKA: The Ministry of Education (MoE), USAID and various stakeholders in the education sector of Zambia met earlier this week in Lusaka for an Intel education transformation workshop. The objective of the event was to promote the transformation of the education system in Zambia to better prepare and equip learners current world realities.

The collaboration aims to enable quality education to be available to Zambian learners throughout the country through the use of ICTs and thereby reading them for the ever increasingly competitive globalised world.

The workshop builds on the collaboration over the past year, such as the official launch of skoool Zambia, a localised version of the skoool learning and teaching technology, tailored to meet the requirements of the Zambian school curriculum; as well as the already existing close worldwide collaboration between Intel and USAID to build strong public-private partnerships that fuel development.
