Special Assignment tackles media freedom

Special Assignment tonight, Tuesday, 17 August 2010, at 8.30pm on SABC3, picks up the theme of media freedom, with the media appeals tribunal and the Protection of Information Bill debated by ANC spokesperson Jackson Mthembu, City Press editor Ferial Haffajee and Franz Kruger, ombudsman for the Mail & Guardian and journalism lecturer at Wits University. The show is presented by Ashraf Garda and, in a break from the norm for Special Assignment, is done over supper at the Melville Cafe.
