Groot Constantia cellarmaster Boela Gerber has been named the new chairperson of the Cape Winemakers Guild, while Neil Ellis Wines winemaker Warren Ellis has been invited to join the guild.
Membership of the guild is by invitation only and is extended to winemakers who have been, and still are, responsible for the production of wines. The Cape Winemakers Guild was established in 1982 and currently comprises 50 of the country's winemakers.
