Netflix/Reality's Episodic Lab and DET application deadline extended
The Realness Institute, in collaboration with Netflix, has extended the deadline for submissions for the 2022 Episodic Lab and Development Executive Traineeship (DET) programmes. Applicants now have until 21 January 2022.
The Episodic Lab helps South African, Kenyan and Nigerian screenwriters generate story concepts, while the DET helps African producers build story concepts. These courses are for intermediate TV and film professionals.
Both projects are closely monitored and mentored by story experts and creative producers, as well as the Netflix team. The 2022 Episodic Lab and DET run from 1 May to 31 July 2022. In order to focus on the creation of their story concept, each of the twelve selected participants (six per programme) will receive a $2,000 monthly stipend.
Further enquiries about the programme and application process can be directed to email etutitsni.ssenlaer@snoissimbus.
