Neo Makhele appointed head of planning at Ogilvy Johannesburg
Makhele has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, a post graduate degree in Business Management (UNISA) and a post graduate qualification in advertising with majors in strategy and media.
Her first job was as a radio producer for Bop Broadcasting Corporation. She then joined Ogilvy as a junior strategist before moving to Penta Publications as marketing manager. In 2000 she was appointed managing editor and marketing manager for Weigh-less magazine. Her next move was to Inroads as senior strategist and later head of strategy. In 2004 she returned home to Ogilvy, an agency she is passionate about.
