Baker McKenzie appoints Phetole Modika and Pitso Kortjaas as banking and finance partners

Baker McKenzie has appointed Phetole Modika and Pitso Kortjaas as banking and finance partners in Johannesburg, along with their team members Sabelo Goma, Koketso Maake, and Nyameka Nkasana.

Modika specialises in secured and unsecured lending, acquisition and leveraged finance, and cross-border real estate finance.

Kortjaas focuses on structured and corporate finance, including sustainability-linked loans and bonds.

Previously, the team worked at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr.

Their addition strengthens Baker McKenzie's transactional capabilities in Africa.
