Boschendal Wine Estate has appointed Jacques Viljoen as its cellar master; effective 1 August 2018.
In his new position, Viljoen will work closely with Lizelle Gerber and the estate's new group winemaker Stephan Joubert.
Viljoen has 16 years of experience as winemaker at Zevenwacht and has worked with winemakers in three French wine regions. He has received numerous accolades in his career and most recently won gold for his Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz at the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC).
