2025 Diabetes Summit
The South African Diabetes Summit is a flagship biennial event convened by the Diabetes Alliance, bringing together people living with diabetes, healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers, civil society, government, and industry.
The 2025 Summit features three days of high-level plenaries, debates, and workshops:
Day 1 (11 Nov) – Pre-Summit Workshops (e.g., Building a Type 1 Diabetes Registry, Diabetes in the Workplace, Peer Support).
Day 2 (12 Nov) – Opening Ceremony, Guest Lecture by Prof Ntobeko Ntusi, Thematic Sessions (Awareness & Prevention, Education), Innovation Showcase, and the Fundraising Dinner.
Day 3 (13 Nov) – Thematic Sessions (Management & Access to Care, Surveillance, Innovation & Research), HCP Masterclasses, and the Big Debate on ensuring diabetes innovations reach those who need them most.
