Warehouse Supervisor - George - Western Cape

Our client in the FMCG industry is looking for a Supervisor to oversee production operations in the warehouse.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are met efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to safety regulations

Salary:
R11,500 - R12,000 basic

Trading Hours:
07h00 - 16h30

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
• Coordinate with production staff to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any operational issues that arise.
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Train and mentor production staff to improve their skills and performance.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Oversee inventory management and ensure adequate stock levels of raw materials and finished goods.
• Collaborate with other departments such as logistics, quality control, and maintenance to optimize production processes.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify maintenance needs and ensure optimal performance.
• Analyse production data and generate reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or safety standards.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation

Requirements:

• Forklift certificate
• Code 14 license with PDP
• Relevant experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Familiarity with health & safety regulations and quality standards
• Sound knowledge of production processes and best practices in the FMCG sector
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
