Digital Publications is currently looking for a junior graphic designer to join our company on a five-month contract to produce designed content for our print customers.
Your duties will include any of the following dependent on experience:
To create print magazine layouts for a number of our existing customers.
To create digital magazine layouts for a number of our existing customers.
To design social media posts for our customers based on their go-to-market strategy.
We are interested in candidates with the following skills
Job skills
One to two years of industry experience
Adobe Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign CC
Tertiary qualification in graphic design
Experience in layout/publication design either from an agency or publisher
Be a motivated, considerate, even-tempered and positive team player
Practice high attention to detail
Personality skills
Emotional maturity - critical skill
Ability to get on well with others - critical skill
Have a great attitude - critical skill
Apply excellent written and verbal communication skills
Have a can-do approach to all work
Have pride in good design and high-quality work
The position is a combination of in-office (Rosebank, Johannesburg) and remote working.
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team as well as on their own handling customer projects from concept through to layout, design and publishing.
